A single dose given two or three weeks before an expected period of risk may produce immunity sufficient to provide protection during the risk period. Where the risk period may be prolonged, when animals under 3 months of age are vaccinated, it is advisable to give a second dose about 6 weeks later. Once opened use of the vaccine must be completed the same day
